So if you are familiar with what I wrote about Brad and Mayumi for their engagement post, I will sound like a broken record. But it is just so dang true that Mayumi has the most ridiculously contagious laugh of anyone you will ever meet. Yes, this is a challenge. I declare a laugh-off, comment below if you accept this challenge. Anyhow, no one brings it out of her the way that Brad does, and it was so beautiful to see that joy carried throughout their day. In that vibe, their officiant put together the best string of movie titles into his message – we really need to get a copy of that, it was so brilliant.
Villa Parker has so many unique nooks for pictures and it really gives that Italian Villa feel. I loved the coordinated floral robes the ladies wore for getting ready. It really does pull together the “before” images so beautifully. And Brad has Star Wars cufflinks, so there really isn’t much more that needs to be said about how cool he is. Mayumi wanted the portraits to be very modern and high-fashion and it was amazing the way that she was able to turn in on in front of the camera. Her girls did get a little giggly when I told them to make “sexy faces”, but I’ll take a real laugh over duck lips any day!
The reception was so romantically lit and with a candy bar and mini bundt cakes it was completely set up for success. And as for all this hype about Mayumi being the best dancer ever? Confirmed. She was not exaggerating that she brings the party to the party. If she spotted anyone sitting down, she would literally pull them on to the dance floor. I hope that some day I can dance battle it out with you Mayumi. My money is still on you, but I would enjoy every minute of it! Thank you both Brad and Mayumi for letting Allie and I be part of your day!
A huge thanks to all of the vendors who made the day so great!
