Brennan and Ryan’s wedding was one that I have been looking forward to for a long time. When I first met them, I enjoyed their laid back and sweet personalities. Brennan is kindhearted and makes you feel immediately comfortable. Ryan is the nice guy you know will do anything for his friends and is always making everyone laugh. They are a great pair and compliment each other perfectly. Thus, I knew their wedding day would be epic.
Not only are they wonderful people but they have impeccable taste. Their wedding was at the incredible Crooked Willow Farms in Larkspur. This is one of my favorite wedding venues for its rustic elegant, Colorado feel, outdoor space and unique indoor areas. The girls were all getting ready with food and drinks and enough smiles to know they were celebrating something big. The boys, were outside playing corn-hole, knowing it would take them much less time to tie their ties and fix their hair than the girls so they might as well have some fun in the in-between.
Brennan’s mom and dad were the first people I saw. The smile on her mom’s face told me everything. The day was not only going to go perfectly, but there was no stress, no running around, just pure joy all focused on what really mattered to them, these two getting married.
When Ryan and Brennan saw each other for the first time the excitement was contageous. Ryan just gasped in awe and Brennan giggled. He admired everything about her from her unique and extremely elegant dress to the big smile on her face. I might have even seen a tear…
From there we enjoyed time around the property with the wedding party, walking, hanging out, laughing. The boys were cracking the jokes and the girls were smiling with delight and excitement. There was only a momentary weather movement as the rain came and went in 10 minutes, cooling everything down and making for the most beautiful sky and light for the ceremony.
Speaking of the ceremony, it was the perfect joining of the two of them, the families, and all the people that came to support this marriage. All the guests were included throughout the ceremony. Brennan and Ryan faced them the entire time, and the officiant mentioned how important the guests were time and time again.
There was the perfection of the venue, the styling and decor (which was really incredible by the way). A Vintage Affair, A Florae and Elite DJ killed it with the vintage furniture around the courtyard for the cocktail hour, the draping and lighting during the dinner hour in the grand hall, and the flowers elegantly dotting all the centerpieces, cake, ceremony and buffet. Brennan and her mom also had amazing additional details put in like all the cute custom signage, flip flops to dance in, and my personal favorite to go coffee mugs and donuts for the morning.
But beyond all of that the perfection lay in the event itself and how much it felt like family. It was classy, fun and comfortable. The perfect combination to have a celebration. I think it really speaks to the couple when all their guests are so incredible honored to be there and stay to. the. very. end. The fun send off and after party didn’t hurt either.
Overall it was a wedding I was so glad to be a part of. I am so happy for Brennan and Ryan. They are going to have a truly beautiful marriage!
A big thank you to all the vendors who made this possible:
