I have been smiling all week. I just love so many things about weddings, but when you have a bride who you both scream and cheer and hug when you walk in the door, that is something special. That is who Bryn is to everyone. She is so fun and kind and excitable and you just want to be around her and make her your best friend. Then comes Carter. First impression he is that good old sweet southern boy and he just has something special. You know it right away and you can’t put your finger on it. Bryn knew it right away too. When he first asked her out she said no. He had to be a little persistant. She will tell you she wasn’t ready to settle down and she knew that if she went out with Carter it was the end of it; she would end up marrying that man. Well look where we are. Bryn was right AND THEY GOT MARRIED!
It was a beautiful day. The sky was blue but with the most perfect cloud cover. You could still see the stunning view from the lawn of the Garden of the Gods club, and the sun was shining in visible golden rays from the clouds. This was the perfect backdrop for their wedding day. We had plenty of time for photos while Bryn and Carter snuggled and laughed and kissed. It was so cute when they saw each other for the first time I took note that Carter kept stealing a kiss every second he got. It was one or two words and a kiss and then maybe a couple hugs and some words but sneak in that kiss. You could just tell he couldn’t get enough of her! When Bryn sees carter she just giggles. In the bridal suite as she was getting ready she kept saying “this is it, this is it, I am becoming Mrs. Babb today!” I think she just kept realizing that it was real and would giggle. Oh so cute.
Everyone there was having a grand time. From the bridesmaids laughing and giggling an cheering all day to the groomsmen posing and joking around during photos to the dance party at the end. Oh the dance party. That was probably my highlight of the day. Everyone was on the dance floor, the music changed from one generational style to the next and yet the floor was packed. I loved seeing Bryn’s grandpa grab his wife for the anniversary dance and then move to party with Bryn as well. The last couple songs the room was lit up with glow sticks swaying side to side and electrifying the dance floor.
It was a wonderful day and I was so excited to see these two say “I do.” I know they are going to have a marriage as glorious as the mountain views at their wedding and so much more. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Babb, #itsaBabbtime!
