They say that marriage is the ultimate adventure. This is saying a lot for Carolina and Ryan who have been through many and many real adventures in life. From traveling the world, to real life or death situations. Carolina and Ryan are some of the most interesting people I have met. They have done so much with their lives separately. When you are that interesting and accomplished of a person it is hard to find another that will fit into that space. But Carolina and Ryan found it easily in each other. They met, of course, as Ryan was teaching a survival training course. They were immediately drawn to each other. The rest, well, is history.
It was only natural that their wedding day be epic as well. It was all in the mountains near Vail at the beautiful Camp Hale. This has 360 degree views of the mountains and also serves atv tours. Needless to say, it is an adventureous spot. We took a Jeep up a winding, narrow road to the top of the pass for Ryan and Carolina’s first look. It was incredible. Yes, the views were breathtaking but my favorite part is seeing the emotion on both of their parts. I love seeing tears of joy. It fills my heart so full.
The ceremony was just as beautiful as we heard from both Carolina’s dad, who officiated, as well as Ryan’s mom who prepared a very touching piece with advice and love. It was so unique and personalized to them. Not to mention it was on a beautiful island with the grand mountain peaks as the overlook.
Everything was full of joy and love. From the incredible speeches by both Carolina’s sister and Ryan’s brother in law to the hilarious slideshow prepared by Carolina’s dad. No detail went unturned and the emotion was left on every body’s sleeve. It was so wonderful to see such a wide range of love and support. It seems to seep into every crevace of their day. I am so lucky that I got to be a part of their next big adventure. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Gaspard!
