Catherine and Ross’s story is a “Tale as old as time.” It starts with the romantic boy who always was in love and waiting for the one person, his soul mate, to share that love with. Catherine, was very quickly swayed by Ross’s passion, sensitivity, fun and silly side and fell deeply in love. It honestly is the kind of relationship you swoon at and want to hear the story again and again.
When I first met them I could see it in their eyes, the way they held hands, the way Ross would make cute little side jokes and Catherine would giggle like they were in their own world. I had to photograph their wedding!
I was so excited to start the day. Ross came sauntering in with a giant smile on his face. The night before, Catherine and Ross build a fort out of sheets and stayed up all night making jokes and promises and snuggling through their last night as single. They were never single though. All of those around them knew they would fall madly in love with an epic person. Hearing their vows, and how eloquent and poetic they were, it felt like a movie. I suppose that is why they choose Beauty and the Beast as their them. They knew they were in a fairy tale.
Catherine looked stunning in her Belle inspired ball gown and lace trimmed veil. She always knows those soft sultry eyes to give me in photos. Ross looked equally handsome in his classic fitted black suit. The room was adorned with gold table clothes draped like the bottom of Belle’s dress and different variations of red roses under bell jars, on top of vintage books and in sterling silver tea pots. Even the ring bearer carried a hand made vintage book box with the rings and a poem on the inside.
The day couldn’t have gone better. They swept from place to place, adored by all and yet in their little world once again. They are dreamy and silly, playful when appropriate and sweet and romantic when alone.
I had a wonderful time celebrating Ross and Catherine as they became Mr. and Mrs. I know their love story will hit the books as one of the greatest of all time.
Congratulations Catherine and Ross. You killed it!
