Danelle, Lance and I had a great time at their engagement session last week. It seems we had the perfect spring day, while everything was turning green and the weather was warm. It is a good thing too because a picnic on a Colorado spring day could be hit or miss. If nothing else, we could have used Danelle’s smile to warm us up (enter cheese here), but we didn’t need too. It was perfect.
We started out down at Hildebrand Ranch Open Space, to take in the scenery, warm air, and of course, a beer or two. Lance and Danelle are so natural and relaxed together. Lance may have mentioned that he is awkward in pictures and I don’t know if it is because of his genuine love for Danelle or that he is just wrong, but I shot that one down real quick. There is nothing awkward about either of these two. Danelle’s beautiful blue eyes and big smile can make Lance at ease in a heartbeat and makes my job a breeze. The way Lance looks at her and makes her laugh makes them a perfect duo for pictures and life.
After some frolicking and bike riding we headed down to their neighborhood for some casual urban strolling and yes… more beer. Who doesn’t want to spend a spring day just hanging out with the one you love and enjoying a cold one. Downtown Littleton is not only where they live, but where Lance proposed, and where they will spend many of their days as husband and wife.
I honestly love hanging out with them. They have great personalities that just draw you in and make you want to be friends with them (ahem, hint hint). They are two genuine, kind and caring people and have found such love in each other. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this fall! It is going to be awesome!
