When was the last time that you saw a couple play soccer on their wedding day? Because the answer is probably NEVER, I felt like it was so appropriate to feature this wedding during the World Cup. Maddie and Tripper took all of the things that they love sharing together the most – soccer, cool shoes and sunglasses, all things orange and purple, and BACON – and designed their wedding around them. They even had their guests wear their colors! Their portraits were just so crazy fun full of goals, high-fives, and selfies. Ryan explained that “they are both die-hard into soccer so we did their first look on DU’s soccer field. They got married at the same church as Maddie’s parents as well as her uncle (when she was a little flower girl 21 years ago!). They wanted a unique first kiss and had me position myself so that all their friends and family ‘photo bombed’ their first kiss!”
I guarantee that you’ve never seen a wedding like this. The orange and purple theme was not to be missed and was thoroughly carried out in every detail from the bride and groom’s attire, to the wedding party, to the decor and even the food and signature drink! It was no accident that even the hotel rooms and church had orange & purple accents! Such flawless planning is best pulled off when you have excellent planners like Jamie and Brittany with a Touch of Bliss. The Cable Center was the perfect setting for the reception as it is so close to the soccer fields at DU and has all the modern touches that fit this wedding so excellently.
“Maddie and Tripper’s wedding was a photographer’s dream. Their style and personality shined through in their details and choice of locations. After looking at the photos, can you guess Tripper’s favorite color?! Tripper loves orange so much so that he tried to have everyone at school wear orange on Fridays. It’s even part of his email address! I have to say that him and his guys pulled off wearing orange really well! The ladies complimented nicely with Maddie’s favorite color, purple too! I remember sharing Tripper’s love for bacon as well as cooking. He is a chef and we exchanged stories of traveling the world and experiencing amazing food. Food was an important thing to Maddie and Tripper so they had Footers Catering put on a wonderful spread of tastes from around the world. I’m not going to lie, when I heard they had a bacon bar with bacon wrapped pork belly as appetizers along with chipotle chocolate drizzled bacon, I knew I had to partake in it! Even though my waistline did not benefit from this decision, my soul did! One of the quirks that I learned about Maddie and Tripper is their love for getting selfies wherever they travel. I also learned this from their engagement session at their when they pulled out their go pro camera to grab a selfie throughout the various locations that we traveled in Evergreen. I knew I had to get a “professional” selfie at their wedding so I crammed the whole wedding party into the goal at the soccer field and recreated a selfie with my camera. Pretty cool right?” – Ryan
