I love weddings in general, but honestly my favorite thing about a wedding is how unique each of them are even when you have what you think are all the same elements; flowers, cake, venue, ceremony, dress, etc. all play into a big day. What makes a wedding truly unique is the couple. Everything about them and their relationship shines on their wedding day. It all seems to fall into place and make sense. We are there to send two wonderful people into one fantastic life together. Jennifer & Ryan’s day was no exception. In fact, even though we didn’t do our traditional engagement session and meetings to get to know each other, I felt right at home with these two.
Smiles, all smiles, that was Jennifer as I saw her throughout the day. She was at ease with everything around her. Jennifer is such a nice person she was even checking in with us to make sure we were doing well! Jennifer, it is your wedding day. We would do anything to make sure you are doing awesome. But she just was, there was nothing anyone had to do to make it so. It was just there.
Ryan was exactly the same. He is naturally funny and making jokes right from the beginning. When he looked at Jennifer the jokes subsided and all he saw was his beautiful wife. It was so lovely to see him breath deeply as she walked down the aisle in the magnificent Holy Ghost Catholic Church. She took his, and everyone else’s, breath away.
The day continued with us romping around downtown Denver, taking in all the best sites, like Union Station, and the wedding party having a blast. I am glad I got to ride the party bus and be a part of the action. Plus it is fun to keep everyone together. They even got to enjoy the incredible sunset on Larimer Square. Dreamy!
They finished the night off in the gorgeously lit and decorated private room at Maggianos in the Denver Pavilions. The black and gold decor blended perfectly with the chandeliers and ambiance of the room. The mood lighting was perfect for heartfelt toasting and a family style Italian dinner. I loved the spirit of the toasts where Jen’s dad spoke of her inspiration and dedication to the kids she taught and people around her and all of Ryan’s groomsmen had a chance to talk about his fun-loving nature and loyalty. Seeing them together you know they were meant to be but hearing the support, kind words and love around them it really solidified it.
I am so happy I was able to be a part of Jen & Ryan’s wedding. I know they are going to have a wonderful life together! Congratulations!
A special Thanks to all the vendors:
