There are so many beautiful places to have a wedding in Colorado. One of the most unique is Highlands Ranch Mansion. It is a beautiful historic mansion that sits on a hill overlooking the mountains in Highlands Ranch. I was so excited when Jessica and Chris told me they were getting married there! It is so fun to witness an awesome couple say I do in a location that is as beautiful and unique as them.
I admired Chris and Jessica’s relationship from the first time I met them. Everything had just fallen in to place. They were both ready for each other and multiple of their friends nudged them towards each other. It was a good thing they did! These two are perfect for each other. They compliment each other, lifting up in their strengths and supporting each other in their weaknesses. I was so in when they asked me to be a part of their wedding because I knew it was going to be awesome.
The day was perfect. At one point Jessica said “I didn’t know if I was planning a winter wedding or a spring wedding.” I told her that she got our great Colorado weather, spring and winter in one. Although it had snowed the day before, it was a clear blue day with the warm sun beating down on us. Everyone was in great spirits. There seemed to be no rushing or bustling around it was just enjoyable conscious movements towards the moment they had been waiting for.
Jessica’s hair, dress, and makeup could not have matched her or the style of the mansion more. She was so glamourous. I wanted to take a million pictures of her from every angle. She worked it too! I loved seeing it all come together and her feel so elegant. We all knew that Chris was going to flip. He was just as decked out. He wore the perfectly tailored suit like he had never known anything else. Although I originally thought he wouldn’t love me taking a million pictures, I think he fooled me a little. He is awesome in front of the camera as well. You could tell he felt so good to have this beautiful woman becoming his wife.
The one thing that Jessica and Chris said to me from the beginning is how important it was to them to celebrate and enjoy time with their friends and family. All of the people who made them the individuals they are and who will support them and make them the couple they will be are just as important as they are on their wedding day. I have never heard something so sweet or meaningful. With that we got all the formalities out of the way in the beginning and after their private dinner, they enjoyed time with all the people they love. It was full of lots of hugs, laughter and epic dancing by kids and adults alike. All in all it was a wonderful day. Chris and Jessica said “yes” to forever together and they did it not only in glamorous style but with the sophistication of knowing that their love is made up of the unique and incredible things they each bring to each other and the unique and incredible things God and their family will encourage them towards.
Congratulations Chris and Jessica! Thank you for letting me be a small part of a great marriage!
A special thanks to all the incredible vendors.
