“And all my life, baby, baby, I’ve prayed for someone like you
And I thank God that I, that I finally found you, baby
All my life I’ve prayed for someone like you
And I hope that you feel the same way too
Yes, I pray that you do, love me”
Is there anything more romantic than your husband singing “All my Life” by K-Ci and JoJo to you on your wedding day? I don’t think so. This is a “classic” love song. It is cheesy, yes, but it is everything you ever want. I am pretty sure Erik sings it to be funny. Which let me tell you, he is. But in that moment, on the dance floor when he was singing it to Lesley you knew he meant it. Every word. The way he looked at her was indescribable. I knew long before that these two had something special. But there, where Erik was being Erik, silly and over the top, the glimmer was shining so bright. It made me happy.
This is not even the beginning of the epic love story or wedding day that Erik and Lesley had. The day was full of incredible, actually I would call it perfect weather, laughs, fire pit and s’mores, photo booth, a gorgeous mountain backdrop at Strawberry Creek Ranch and fireworks. Lesley and Erik spent the day, just the two of them, enjoying the beauty of this spot and their time together. They didn’t have a wedding party, but instead had all of their wedding, friends and family serve as their support for the day. They knew that each and every person there would stand up for them in love and hard times. It made the wedding incredibly sweet and intimate.
Lesley got ready with her mom by her side. A lady as loving and wonderful as Lesley. Her smile lit up the room and she looked at her daughter like she would give the world to her. They walked down the aisle together hand and hand to give her daughter away to Erik. Yet you know that Lesley really wasn’t going anywhere. These two families merged beautifully. I am pretty sure they all could have been the best of friends.
Then there is Lesley and Erik. I don’t even know where to start to tell you about them. They light up a room. They are people you want to be around and be friends with. They are party starters and smiler makers. They are sweet and genuine and silly. Yet they are endearing and charismatic. Together they are a forced to be reckoned with. I am pretty sure nobody could be more perfect for each other. I know they are going to have a long life full of laughs and adventure. And when nobody is looking, they will snuggle in and be super sweet and loving. Congratulations Lesley and Erik. Here is to a incredible life worth living together!
Thanks to all the vendors who rocked this day!
