Michael and Lisa got married on the anniversary of their first date. I love the story of this. They had been talking for a while and decided to meet up. Lisa told all her co-workers that she had to make sure she left early from work because she was going to meet Michael. They teased her and said she had a date and she insisted “no, it is not a date it is just a meeting”. The two of them had drinks and talked for a while and then Michael asked if she wanted to go to dinner. She said yes (I think she would said plainly but knowing Lisa I am sure she had a lot of excitement in her voice) she was thinking “OH! Now this is a date!” The rest is history and a bright future.
Every single person you talk to will tell you that Lisa is a ball of postitive energy. She is so so sweet and exciting. She is very happy and upbeat all the time and makes you feel like family immediately. She has a zest for life that she seizes everyday. Some say it is hard but rewarding to try and keep up with her. They also say that she met her perfect match in Michael. She needed someone with the same zeal and outlook on life. Together they have done many things from traveling to scuba diving. Michael easily has as much energy and excitement as her. After talking to him for the first time on the phone about his wedding and laughing the whole way through, I hung up the phone and said “I have to be a part of that wedding!”
The day started out just as I thought it would. Giant smiles from both sides. Lisa was so ready to get into hear dress. I don’t blame her. This was a gorgeous dress glistening from head to toe. It fit her like a glove and made her look like the princess she wanted to be. Michael was so dapper in his traditional tux. Fit perfectly for a prince. What else can you be if you are getting married in an incredible place like Cherokee Ranch and Castle!
The wedding was small. Michael had his two daughters standing beside him the whole day. Caitlyn was the perfect Best Lady, smiling, encouraging and helping. She gave a killer toast that makes all parent child relationship swoon. Talking about how you can love someone with everything you have even if you are so different and you make each other stronger. His other daugher Nicole showed off her incredible talent as an opera singer and sang Ave Maria at the ceremony and seranaded us all at the cocktail hour. Dinner was set up as one long banquet table. Beautifully decorated and put together by The Gardner Effect Wedding and Event Planning and Lisa Weddel Designs. Lauren was an incredible wedding planner and the whole event flowed very well as well as looked gorgeous. I honestly felt like I was going to a private dinner party for royalty.
They toasted with the champagne that is served at the White House, they laughed, they danced and they were so so happily married. This is a wedding I didn’t want to miss for the world and I am so happy I got to be a part of it. Thank you Micheal and Lisa for letting me be a part of your Happily Ever After!
