It just keeps getting better for me, folks. My couples continue to surprise, humble and inspire me. Maria and Mustafa did all that and more at their wedding at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Parish and Sanctuary Golf Course this weekend. You can’t help but smile by simply being next to these two. Allie and I were in photographer heaven the whole day.
I loved how Mustafa wove his Persian heritage into the ceremony. The sofré (or table cloth) is an iconic piece that is gathered with iconic imagery and symbolism relating to the union. Candles, a mirror, bread, nuts, sugar, gold, fruit and spices all peppered the table which was present in front of them during their vows. The architecture of the church is spectacular and gave a grand warmth to their ceremony.
We ventured to Sanctuary Golf Course with their friends and family for the reception. It was fun roaming the greens and energizing waterfall with their wedding party. I’m pretty sure the girls got a little wet by being so close to the water! I say it was totally worth it though!
More surprises came for me and their guests when it came time for dancing. After they shared their first dance. Mustafa and Maria’s family started a dance battle. That’s right! I was blown away by their choreography and so were their guests. The crowd was electric with smiles and laughter. Maria’s Dad even impressed me with his moves. Your Dad has swagger, Maria!
The only part that made me sad that night was realizing that these two lovebirds live in California so I won’t get a chance to see their lovely faces any time soon! Luckily I have their photos to remind me of how incredible of a day they had. Take a look for yourself! -Ryan
