I completely fell in love with Melanie and Richard when I first Skyped with them. They are just so light hearted, funny and all-around nice people. And with them living in Dubai, it sounds like I am not the only one who got to know one or the other of them through Skype! I know it can be hard to plan a wedding from 8,000 miles away, but they did everything right with help from their families and choosing the Brown Palace for their venue. They handled everything so they didn’t have to worry about finding outside vendors. Everything was as classy and classic as you would expect from the Brown Palace, and it really seemed like the perfect fit for their wedding.
We started the day in the salon with the ladies for hair and make-up while Richard and his best man, David, had drinks in the Ship Tavern. Everyone was so relaxed and fun to be around and I genuinely can’t remember a single moment when anyone seemed nervous or stressed. It meant so much to me how important their families are to them, and how they both honored their parents so well. I loved seeing Melanie’s first look with her dad and how excited both mom’s were the entire day. And it wasn’t just the families who were a big part of the celebration, they really seemed to take quality time with all of their guests.
It was such a great pleasure to have been part of this wedding and I wish Melanie and Richard so many great adventures and laughs in the years to come!
