Molly & TJ met in middle school and waited 16 years for their amazing wedding day at the Ameristar in Blackhawk. They are obviously a perfect match. They glowed every time they looked at each other and I don’t know if I have ever seen a couple that smiled so much during their wedding day. I’m sure they had to be getting face cramps by the end of the day!
Molly’s day started with her getting ready in the presidential suite with the help of her sister and six bridesmaids. She received a special visit from her “Aussie Aunties” (her mom and dad are Australian) and they presented her with her veil. It was definitely a special moment. After she put her stunning dress, Ali and I headed out to capture her and her bridesmaids with some of the classic Victorian mining homes that are in the valley. She was such a beautiful bride, we have more photos than we know what to do with. We then headed back to the casino and grabbed TJ and his entourage for some fun photos in the casino.
TJ was one of the happiest and most emotional grooms I have ever photographed as he watched Molly walking down the aisle. After sharing their vows and getting plenty of hugs from family and friends, we headed to Main Street in Central City for their photos. We even had a surprise visit from some local personalities wearing everything from coon skin caps to corsets.
The evening continued back at Ameristar with some great food, amazing toasts and dancing that went into the night. It was a wedding I won’t ever forget! – McCory
