I feel like I could write one of those cute little books about how you know you are in love when “_____”, and everything that Nancy and Leo did at their wedding was a page of that book. For example, you know you are in love when you have always said that you would NEVER under any circumstance sing karaoke, but for your bride you belt out THREE songs on your wedding day. Yes, Leo killed it guys, and it was one of the most precious demonstrations of love that I have ever seen. And another page; you know you are in love when your groom wears the wrong tie, the wrong shoes, and forgets a couple important wedding tasks, but you still like to kiss him even though you’re a little ticked : ). Nancy was the cutest irritated person I ever saw, and I swear that Leo loves her even more when she’s a tiny bit mad. I’ll let the photos write the rest of the book!
Nancy and Leo love grand adventures. It just wouldn’t be right if they had been married anywhere other than at the top of the Rocky Mountains! I mean, just check out their engagement photos if you need any more confirmation of this statement. I was so honored to get to spend the weekend up at the Westin Riverfront Resort with all of their closest family and friends. The night before the wedding they had a small family rehearsal dinner at China Garden followed by a S’MORES bonfire! Every wedding should be kicked off with S’Mores – what a cool way to spend time with everyone.
The morning of the wedding, both Nancy and Leo got pampered in the Westin’s Salon. It was totally a chill vibe all day as they decided to not have an official wedding party all trying to get ready at the same time. Of course, they still had lots of friends to keep them company, and I am so impressed by the speed and efficiency of Nancy’s mom and aunt while getting her into her dress! We couldn’t have gotten a prettier day on the mountain or a bigger cheer when the couple was officially announced. The reception was held in the Maya restaurant in the hotel and not only was is elegantly mountain-chic, but the food was INCREDIBLE! Nancy’s friend made the donut wedding cake and let me tell you, you are definitely going to want to give Sweet As Pie a call very soon because I have never had a tastier desert. To top the evening off, Leo’s break-dancing crew started the party on the dance floor! Ah, kinda the perfect wedding right?! Thank you Nancy and Leo for making Allie and I feel so welcome and included. We will be talking about your wedding for a while!
I have mentioned many of the awesome vendors, but let me not forget to give props to Vintage Magnolia for the absolutely stunning florals, Felice Bridal for providing Nancy’s lovely Anna Campbell gown, DJ A-L for keeping the party going all night!
