Sara and John’s love has been years in the making. It is a story of flirting, friendship, and fate. They met years ago when they were both living in Boulder. Sara was a barista at the local coffee shop, John was a regular who would spend endless hours studying over a cup of coffee. When I asked Sara what John’s drink was and she said just black coffee I thought to myself that he wasn’t coming back over and over again for a plain cup of coffee. They would see each other often and flirt but it never went any further then that. Over the years they ran into each other a couple of times. Each time was not the “right” time, until one fateful night they were out dancing at Trilogy and saw each other. They chatted like they were old friends and agreed to meet at the Boulder Tea House on a specific date at a specific time. They didn’t exchange numbers. Neither of them was sure if the other would show up or remember. They both did and the rest was history.

As soon as we walked into getting ready you could feel the excitement. Sara was so happy getting her hair done and loved talking about their story and about John. You could tell she was beyond ready to be married to this man. John came into the man cave at The Dove House just as smiley as well. His groomsmen had been there and they were clearly excited for the day. As soon as he walked down those stairs they were asking him how they could help and working on getting him ready for his big day.
The first look really said it all. Both Sara and John are very sweet and happy people. You could tell they were both a little nervous about the day. Or maybe anxious to get started is a better thought. As soon as Sara walked out that door and John saw her everything went away. There was a breath of relaxation and excitement that took over. They were so sweet as they stared into each others eyes and rubbed each other’s arms. I won’t say if there were tears, but you can guess that these two were overjoyed to be together at last.
There ceremony was sweet and meaningful. They had a unique ritual that really brought the whole wedding in on their ceremony. They passed around a crystal that would be in their house. As each guest held it they said a little blessing, prayer or positive thought for the couple. It represented all the good things about their lives starting together and the support they would have from their friends and family. It will be a constant reminder of their wedding day and all the love they shared!
It was such a sweet day to experience an epic love story built over time and exclaimed with a marriage. This will be a start to a new chapter and big adventure. Congratulations Sara and John! You are going to have an incredible marriage!
