Holy Moly, this vintage picnic engagement shoot is going to make you wish you were in love if you aren’t already, and…make you want some PIE! Perfect couple. Perfect details. Perfect setting. Just, perfect. And the photographer Katie captured every bit of it. Here are a few words from Katie about this adorable shoot:
“Emily and Micheal are a dream. Not only are they the sweetest people to be around, but the way they support and love each other is incredible. When I first met them I was SO excited to photograph their wedding. Emily is a photographer as well and she was excited about exploring possibilities and being creative. I think that there would be way too much excitement for one room if we spent too much time together. From the get go, I knew that their wedding would be great and also that we would have a perfectly styled engagement session as well… and that is what happened. Emily suggested the idea of a vintage picnic and I jumped at it. She bought the most beautiful dresses that fit the style (honestly, I think I showed everyone I met how cute they were) and Mike jumped in wanting to compliment her style perfectly. I will say, when they stepped out of the car Mike was totally rocking those suspenders. We pooled our resources and brought everything we thought would fit the style including the camera’s to show off Emily’s love for photography, Cherry Pie to equally explore Mike’s love for down home sweets and everything in-between. I was SO excited for this.
Everything was set for this to be a great shoot, but then something magical happened. Mike and Emily got together and it was no longer about the props or the styling. They stole the show. They were sweet and complimentary, goofy and whimsical. They played and danced, laughed out loud and spent moments in quiet. It was a perfect day. I left that shoot falling more in love with love itself, with Emily and Mike and with my job.”
