Terrace Gardens at Dove Valley in Centennial, Colorado

Terrace Gardens is comprised of two locations in Littleton and in Centennial Colorado. Both the Ken Caryl and Dove Valley venues are run by Steve Langer and Ernie Oetter of Panache Catering. They are pioneers in the Denver wedding scene providing a stellar quality of service and experience at an affordable price. Their near 30 years of experience in catering promises that they have seen it all and can provide couples with a custom tailored experience for their wedding. This review will be split over two posts for simplicity. The following covers the Dove Valley location.

Dove Valley is their flagship location. It is conveniently located near the Denver Tech Center where guests will find plenty of hotel accommodations. The facility resides unassumingly within a business park. They have done a great job of planting well developed trees and gardens to surround the space making it feel separate from it's surroundings. The spacious grounds allow for multiple events to be held at the same time. There are two separate ceremony locations outside. Both have an equally unique atmosphere. The Baldwin, Pomeroy and Fireside rooms have accommodations for even the largest of receptions. Facilities are well planned out so that if there are two events going on, neither parties affect one another.

The women's powder room has ample room for large bridal parties to get ready in. We especially enjoy photographing the ladies putting on their makeup in the huge hollywood beauty mirror. The men's getting ready space isn't as large since they don't have as much getting ready to do.

Ceremonies on the north Pomeroy terrace are held under a beautiful weeping willow and next to a water fall and lush greens. The shade from the trees are especially nice on a warm summer afternoon. After the ceremony, family and bridal party photos can easily be taken on the lawn and surrounding gardens.

There is also a raised grassy hill on the south east side of the building by the parking lot that we use to showcase our signature "band shot" with the bridal party. The hill faces west so the time of day and amount of cloud cover may determine whether or not it is an ideal location for pictures to avoid having people squinting into the sun.

Ceremonies on the south Baldwin Terrace are set beside a decorative gazebo. This space is also adorned with various trees and gardens to soften up the space.

During a fall or winter wedding when many of the trees are bare, there is a great location for bridal party photos nearby that is backed by a solid row of grand pine trees. This makes for a great backdrop year round. The trees stand on the west side of the property across the main driveway. There are openings in the trees so that you can walk through to the west side where there is a lawn to pose on.

The reception halls are draped with generous windows that bathe the space in light in the afternoon. The exceptionally large ceilings contribute to the splendor of the space. Having a good DJ that knows how to fill the acoustics of the big space properly is advised. The dance floors include plenty of space for everyone to get down to the music and not feel cramped.
